· Any calls or email requests needing additional services will be given local numbers of Columbia, MO area agencies and/or web site addresses for helping agencies.

 

· Callers and emailers will be offered non-judgmental Christian prayer; no counseling  or advice will be given.

 

· No financial aid or other types of assistance are provided by You’ve Got a Prayer.

 

· No money or goods are accepted as payment, gifts, or donations.

 

· Calls are Free from any Columbia, MO area prefix, and from most cell phones. 

 

· Any charges to the caller’s phone bill are not the responsibility of You’ve Got a Prayer.                                                    

 

· No outcome of prayer offered is implied or guaranteed.

 

· Callers are limited to four 15 minute calls per month.  Email requests are limited to one per week per email address.

 

· All calls and emails are kept confidential*.

 

· *Any harassing or inappropriate calls or emails will be reported to authorities.

Helpful Definitions

 

 

Pray(er)- When a person directs a request or thanksgiving to God. Talking to, and listening to God.  May be a formal or casual style.

 

Scripture - The Written Word of God as in The Holy Bible.

 

Sovereignty– God’s sole and eternal rule and reign over all of creation: heaven, earth, and all the realms of the universe.

 

Salvation- Rescue from the eternal separation from God caused by our sin through the work of Jesus’ birth, live, death, and resurrection.

 

Forgive– To cancel a debt caused by a wrongdoing. To choose not to punish one who has wronged you.

 

Intercede– To appeal to God on another’s behalf.

 

Righteousness– To be right with God. People (all of whom are sinners), are made right with God by accepting Christ.

 

Deliverance- To rescue from a threat or danger from oneself, or an outside source.

 

Perspective– The way one looks at something. A belief molded by teaching an experience. One’s perspective can change.
